Nick DeSanctis joined the Dayton Athletics staff in August of 2014 as coordinator of broadcasting and is now serving as the assistant director of video services. He is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day execution of all logistics related to live event production, including the planning and execution of webcast productions. DeSanctis also assists in the creation of video content for DaytonFlyers.com and other multimedia efforts.
Prior to coming to Dayton, DeSanctis was at West Point. He served as the coordinator of multimedia and broadcasting. In his role, DeSanctis spearheaded the production of multimedia content for the Army Athletics YouTube page and production of live events, while also serving as the play-by-play broadcaster for various Army teams.
A 2012 graduate of Roanoke College with a bachelor’s degree in sport management and a minor in communications, DeSanctis served as the broadcaster for the college's athletic department and led their student production team. For the Maroons, he helped launch a coaches' show and continually enhanced the webcast production eventually resulting in a television contract.
In addition, the Shamong, NJ, native contributed to a weekly radio show on the local ESPN Radio affiliate, while serving as the voice of Roanoke College lacrosse and baseball across their airwaves. In 2011, DeSanctis served as the broadcast and media relations intern for the Burlington Royals, the Appalachian League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.
Prior to starting at West Point, he served as the communications coordinator for a production company in its infancy.
DeSanctis resides in Centerville, OH.
